Ashleigh Buhai slipped to a share of 48th on Friday with a one-over-par 73 dropping her to level-par at the halfway stage of the first major championship of the year, the Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.
Her 25-place drop came after a round of three birdies and four bogeys, and it put her eight shots off the lead which was held by A Lim Kim of South Korea. Kim held a one-stroke lead over Megan Khang and Lilia Vu of the United States after play was suspended for the day with some players through just 13 holes in the second round.
Paula Reto was projected to miss the cut after her second round of six-over 78 saw her down in 132nd in the 132-plater field.
