Kaleigh Telfer dropped just a single shot on Thursday on her way to a four-under-par 68 in the first round of the Epson Tour Championship at LPGA International’s Jones Course in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Starting her round on the 10th, she picked up birdies on her first hole of the day to get off to a good start. She picked up two more on 13 and 18 ahead of her turn, and then two in a row after that on the first and second. She held on with pars for the remainder of her round until her second last hole, where she dropped her only shot of the day on the eighth.
At four-under, she was in a share of 13th, five shots behind the lead which was shared by Michelle Zhang of China and Korea’s Minji Kang. They led by one from Ashley Lau of Malaysia.
