Ernie Els closed with a three-under-par 69 on Sunday to finish in a share of fourth in the PGA Tour Champions Constellation Furyk & Friends at Timuquana Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
It was a bogey-free closing third round for Els as he moved to eight-under-par for the tournament. He finished three shots behind the winner, Brett Quigley of the United States. Quigley finished one ahead of Stephen Alker of New Zealand, with American Glen Day in third a further shot back on nine-under-par. Els shared fourth with Jerry Kelly of the United States.
Retief Goosen signed for a final round of one-over-par 73 to slip down three places into a share of 15th on four-under for the tournament.
Els was projected to rise one place on the tour’s rankings to sixth, while Goosen would stay in 29th.
