Jaco Ahlers played his way through the second round of the LIV Golf Promotions at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Saturday with a four-under-par 68.
Ahlers, who is the only South African trying hand at playing his way on to the lucrative circuit, made five birdies and a bogey to be in a share of 11th. The best score of the day was Suteepat Prateeptienchai of Thailand, who had a bogey-free eight-under-par 64 which included four birdies in a row to round out a good day.
The top 20 from round three will go through to the third round, where they will play 36 holes. The leading three players after that will earn their way into the 2014 LIV Golf season.
