Adilson Da Silva fell just short on Sunday of adding the MCB Road to Mauritius title to his 2022 Rookie of the Year title on the Legends Tour when he finished in a share of fourth in the MCB Tour Championship-Mauritius at Constance Belle Mare Plage.

In the end, his three-under-par 69 was no match for England’s Peter Baker’s five-under-pat 67 closing round, which gave him the tournament and the Order of Merit title. Da Silva ended up in a share of fourth on 13-under for the 54-hole tournament, two shot behind Baker.

Baker’s victory was by a single shot over Patrik Sjoland of Sweden and Peter Fowler of Australia, and Da Silva shared fourth with Jean-Francois Remesy of France. Overnight leaders Robert Coles of England and Michael Jonzon of Sweden shared sixth on 12-under.

James Kingston finished in a share of 19th after a closing level-par 72, and Chris Williams also had a 72 to finish in a share of 22nd.
