Pieter Moolman led the South African players home with a closing two-under-par 70 on Sunday lifting him to a share of 26th in the DP World Tour’s Hero Indian Open at DLF Golf & Country Club in New Delhi.

Moolman made three birdies and a bogey in his final round, and moved to five-under-par for the tournament. That put him 12 shots behind the winner, Keita Nakajima of Japan, who closed with a one-over-par 73 to take his first DP World Tour title in just his 11th start. Nakajima was four shots clear of Johannes Veerman of the United States, Sweden’s Sebastian Soderbergh and local Indian player Veer Ahlawat.

Daniel van Tonder also finished well with a closing three-under-par 69 to move to four-under and a share of 31st. Bandon Stone was a shot further back in a share of 37th after his closing two-under 70, while Oliver Bekker battled to a final round of five-over 77 to slip to a share of 51st on level-par. Casey Jarvis was on one-over after a closing 71.

Wales’ Rhys Enoch slumped to a 13-over-par 85 in the closing round to slide 53 places down the leaderboard into 70th place.
