Robin Williams stayed in the hunt on Thursday in the second round of the Asian Tour’s Saudi Open presented by PIF at Riyadh Golf Club with his second successive two-under-par 69.

While, at four-under through 36 holes, he was six strokes behind the leader, he was still in a share of 17th place as he was after the first round. The lead was held by John Catlin of the United States at 10-under-par after he signed for a four-under-par 67 to lead by one from Li Haotong of China and Australian veteran Scott Hend.

Jaco Ahlers improved on his opening three-over 74 with a four-under 67 in the second round to move to one-under-par and a share of 46th. Also on one-under after a level-par 71 was Neil Schietekat.

Ian Snyman and Justin Harding both made the cut on level-par, while Jbe’ Kruger and David Meyers missed out.

Just as he did in his first round, Williams made four birdies and two bogeys.
