Shaun Norris hung on to a position in the top 10 on Friday with a second round of one-over-par 71 in the Japan Golf Tour’s The Crowns at Nagoya Golf Club in Aichi.
Norris made one birdie on his opening nine after starting on the 10th to turn in one-under, but he dropped three shots on his homeward nine before picking up a second birdie on the seventh. He slipped to four-under for the tournament and was in a share of eighth.
The lead was held by Japan’s Tatsunori Shogenji who carded a nine-under 61 in his second round to move to 10-under. He led by two from New Zealand’s Michael Hendry and Japan’s Riki Kawamoto and Takashi Ogiso.
