Aldrich Potgieter closed the Korn Ferry Tour’s AdventHealth Championship with a four-under-par 68 on Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri, to move into a share of 30th.

Potgieter made three birdies and a bogey on the front nine, and three birdies in five holes to start the homeward nine had him at five-under for the round. But he dropped shots on successive holes on the 16th and 17th before righting the ship with a closing birdie on 18.

He ended the tournament on 11-under, eight strokes out of the play-off between Harry Higgs and Tanner Gore, both of the United States. Higgs won the play-off on the first extra hole, the 18th, making birdie to Gore’s par.

Potgieter was projected to rise one place to eighth on the Korn Ferry Tour rankings after a tournament during which he once again showed the strength of his driving game. He topped the driving distance average with 330.90 yards, and he uncorked one of 363 yards during the week.
