Germishuys cards 3rd successive 68 to lie 14th in Blot Open de Bretagne

Deon Germishuys fired his third successive two-under-par 68 on Saturday to move into a share of 14th after the third round of the Challenge Tour’s Blot Open de Bretagne at Golf Bluegreen de Pléneuf Val André in Pléneuf, France.

Germishuys shook off the effects of a pair of bogeys on the front nine in the third round, and he made five birdies on his way home, dropping just a single shot on that nine. At six-under through 54 holes, he was 10 strokes behind the leader, John Parry of England.

Parry will take a three-shot lead into the final round after he posted a bogey-free seven-under-par round of 63 in the third round. The Englishman entered the third round four shots off the lead but carded seven birdies to move to the top of the leaderboard on 16-under-par, three clear of Sweden’s Per Längfors in second.

Englishman Jamie Rutherford posted a five-under-par round of 65 to move into third position alongside Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan on 11-under-par, while German Michael Hirmer is a shot further back in fifth.

Rupert Kaminski was a shot further back on five-under after a third-round of two-over-par 70. Bryce Easton and Dylan Naidoo will head into the final round on two-under in a share of 36th, while Wilco Nienaber was on level-par in a share of 56th.

One shot ahead of Germishuys was Zimbabwe’s Benjamin Follett-Smith on seven-under aafter a third round of level-par 70 put him in a share of 12th.
