Warwick Purchase shot the low round of the day on Tuesday, and his five-under-par 67 took him into a share of the lead after the second round of the Bushveld Tour’s Blue Label Invitational #2 at Modderfontein Golf Club.

Purchase made seven birdies and dropped just two shots to move to a 36-hole total of four-under-par 140 in the 54-hole tournament. He was in a share of the lead with Graham van der Merwe, who carded a four-under-par 68 in his second round.

Purchase and Van der Merwe led by one from amateur Jacques van der Merwe and Dylan Naidoo. The amateur had a three-under-par 69 in his second round, and Naidoo carded a two-under-par 70.

Tiger Adams of England was in fifth place on two-under-par after his second round of 70, and Slade Pickering was in sixth on one-under after he had a 71 in his second round. There were four players in a share of seventh on level-par.
