The Sunshine Tour travels across the border this week for the FNB Eswatini Challenge at Nkonyeni.

The world-class Nkonyeni Bushveld Course was designed by Phil Jacobs – previously associated with the Gary Player Group – who has been responsible for 40 golf courses in France, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Indonesia and South Africa, including Leopard Creek, The Links at Fancourt and The Lost City. It was further constructed by golf course superintendent and design co-ordination, Robert Richardson from Tee to Green Projects.

This course meanders through the 400-hectare private game reserve and is surrounded by mountains, providing all golfers with a unique experience, especially on the 18th hole which offers a shot across the Usuthu River on to an island surrounded by rocks.

The clubhouse is situated in between two golf courses, and looks out over the Usuthu River. It’s top-class facilities include change rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, informal lounges, a bar and conference room as well as an upstairs private dining area and a tea garden downstairs.
