Shaun Norris pulled off his second top-10 finish in his last four tournaments when he finished the Japan Golf Tour’s ANA Open at the Wattsu Course of the Sapporo Golf Club in Hokkaido, Japan in a share of fourth.
He carded a closing two-under-par 70 to finish on 17-under-par for the tournament. That was three shots behind the winner, Aguri Iwasaki of Japan, who closed with a six-under 66 to move to 20-under and a two-stroke win over countrymen Kota Kaneko and Ryutaro Nagano.
It was Norris’ third top-10 of the season in what has been a quiet showing so far. But it did bring him his biggest payday of the season with the 6.2-million-yen payday giving him healthy R780,00 addition to his bank balance.
It also lifted him to 10th on the Japan Golf Tour Order of Merit.
