Adilson Da Silva had a one-under-par 71 in the second round on Saturday of the Legends Tour’s WINSTONgolf Senior Open in Vorbeck, Germany, but he has a tough task ahead of him if he is to catch the leader in the final round.
Da Silva, who leads the Legends Tour’s Order of Merit, moved to four-under-par through 36 holes in the 54-hole tournament, and that was five strokes off the lead held by Sweden’s Patrik Sjoland. Sjoland had a five-under 67, and, at none-under, was one shot ahead of England’s Van Phillips and Phillip Archer, as well as fellow-Swede Jarno Sandelin.
Da Silva started his round with a bogey on the first, but he turned in level-par after picking up a birdie on the eighth. He had two more bogeys – on the 12th and 15th – but he made three birdies on the back nine.
Keith Horne and James Kingston were on two-over in a share of 40th after second rounds of one-over 73 and level-par 72 respectively.
