Pace opens with 4-under 69 in LET’s Aramco Team Series-Shenzhen

Lee-Anne Pace opened with a four-under-par 69 on Friday in the first round of the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF on the World Cup Course at Mission Hills Resort in Shenzhen, China.

Pace got her round of to a wonderful start on the front nine with five birdies in the first eight holes, but she made a double-bogey sixth on the ninth. She kept things steady after that with pars all the way until the 16th, where she picked up a sixth birdie in her round.

She was in a share of ninth after the first round, three strokes off the lead which was held by Celine Boutier of France at seven-under-par. Boutier rounded out her day’s work with an eagle on 18, undoing the damage done to her scorecard with a pair of bogeys on the front nine. She was a shot clear of Sara Kouskova of Czechia, American Angel Yin and China’s Xiyu Lin.

Nicole Garcia opened with a two-under-par 71, which put her in a share of 23rd, while Casandra Alexander was in a share of 45th on level-par 73.
