Paula Reto had a roller-coaster of a back nine on Sunday on her way to a closing level-par 72 and a share of 21st in the LPGA Tour’s Buick LPGA Shanghai at Qizhong Garden Golf Club.

After turning in one-over 37, things went a little pear-shaped on the 12th as she made a double-bogey six. She fought back well, making birdie on the next hole, and then getting three in a row from the 15th to the 17th. But she dropped another on the closing par-four 18th, to end up on nine-under-par for the tournament.

In the end, she was a long way off the winning total of 25-under-par. China’s Ruoning Yin had a memorable weekend, adding an eight-under 64 in the final round to her nine-under 63 in the third round. That put her six clear of second-placed Sei Young Kim of Korea and Japan’s Mao Saigo.

Ashleigh Buhai had a four-over-par 76 in the final round, and she finished in a share of 66th on three-over for the tournament.
