A closing level-par 72 on Sunday meant Ashleigh Buhai slipped into a share of sixth in the LPGA Tour’s BMW Ladies Championship in Korea.

After a birdie-fest in her opening two rounds – she made eight birdies in the first and the second rounds – she was able to make four in the final round, but they were neutralised by four bogeys which meant she stayed at 15-under-par for the tournament.

That left her four shots off the winning total of 19-under-par from Australia’s Hannah Green, who shared the lead with Buhai after the first round and never relinquished it. Green closed with a one-under-par 71 to reach 19-under to hold off France’s Celine Boutier by one shot.

With Green taking home the first-place prize, Boutier earned her second runner-up finish his season and it was the second time she has lost to Green by a stroke. Green won the HSBC Women’s World Championship earlier this season with Boutier finishing second.

Paula Reto finished a quiet week with a one-over-par 73 to finish on three-over in 71st place.
