Christo Lamprecht made three birdies and a bogey on Thursday on his way to a two-under-par 70 in the first round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s AdventHealth Championship at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lamprecht started his round on the 10th, and made one of his birdies on the front nine, on the 11th. His solitary bogey came immediately after he turned, on the first, and he followed it with a birdie on the second. He picked up his final shot of the day with a birdie on the sixth.

He was in a share of 26th place after the first round, four strokes behind the four-way share of the lead. France’s Jeremy Gandon, Carter Jenkins of the United States, Korean SH Kim and Englishman Ben Taylor all carded six-under 66s.

There was quite a logjam on three-under, one ahead of Lamprecht, with 14 players in a share of 12th.

Behind Lamprecht, Barend Botha and MJ Daffue opened with rounds of one-over 73 to be in a share of 96th and in danger of missing the cut after the second round.
