With the final round of the first senior major championship suspended after heavy rains delayed the start of the round, Retief Goosen looks set to finish inside the top 10 of the Regions Tradition at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama.
Goosen completed his final round in six-under-par 66 to move to 13-under-par for the championship. He’s currently in a share of ninth, five strokes off the lead which is shared between Angel Cabrera of Argentina and America’s Jerry Kelly at 18-under.
Cabrera has played 15 holes, and Kelly 14, and they are one clear of YE Yang of South Korea, who is 17-under through 14.
It was a bit of a birdie fest for Goosen, who picked up eight shots, together with two bogeys on his closing nine.
Ernie Els was also done and dusted for the championship, and his closing 68 took him to 10-under and a share of 19th for the moment.
The final round will be completed on Monday morning US time.
