Three late bogeys on Sunday cost Casandra Alexander a top-20 finish in the Ladies European Tour’s Hulencourt Women’s Open at Hulencourt in Genappe, Belgium.
Alexander, the winner of the Sunshine Ladies Tour’s 2025 Order of Merit, had reached one-under for her final round when she birdied the 10th after a front nine of two birdies and two bogeys, but she dropped a shot on the 11th, and again on the 15th and the 18th.
In the end, her closing two-over-par 74 left her on level-par for the tournament and in a share of 29th. She was 13 strokes behind the winner, Darcy Harry of Wales, who reached 13-under for a two-stroke victory over France’s Nastasia Nadaud.
Danielle du Toit made the cut and closed with a 77 for a share of 56th on seven-over, while rookie Kaiyuree Moodley missed the cut.
Competing in just her ninth LET event of the season, the 22-year-old rookie Harry – who celebrated her birthday on Saturday – showcased remarkable composure on the final day. Heading into Sunday just one shot off the lead, Harry stayed steady under pressure, carding a four-under-par 68.
“I don’t even know what to say right now”, she said. “I’m so excited. I didn’t think I’d ever picture myself winning on the LET, so it’s so nice to know I’ve finally done it.”
