A brilliant closing seven-under-par 63 on Sunday saw Justin Walters climb 17 places on the leaderboard to reach seven-under for the tournament and fourth place in the HotelPlanner Tour’s GAC Rosa Challenge Tour at Rosa Golf Club in Konopiska, Poland.

It was the low round of the day for Walters, who made eight birdies and a bogey to finish four strokes behind the winner on 11-under-ar. Sweden’s Hugo Townsend cruised home with a one-under 69 taking him to 15-under and a two-stroke win over Anton Albers of Germany.

For Walters, it brought a 67-place jump up the Road to Mallorca rankings to 91st, with plenty of work yet to be done if he is to climb into the top 45 who will make the season-ending Rolex Grand Final in Mallorca at the end of October.

Behind Walters, Jovan Rebula and Bryce Easton finished in a share of fifth on 10-under-par after rounds of three-under 67 and four-under 66 respectively. For Rebula, it brought a jump of 10 places on the rankings to 25, and, barring a disaster, a place in Mallorca. From there, a top-20 finish to the season will get him his DP World Tour card. Easton was projected to climb 22 places to 51st, and needs more good results to get to Mallorca.

JC Ritchie stayed in eighth place on the ranking after a closing one-over 71 saw him finish in a share of 20th on four-under-par.
