Barend Botha rounded off a solid start to his 2026 Korn Ferry Tour campaign on Wednesday with his second five-under-par 67 in succession to finish in a share of 22nd in The Bahamas Golf Classic at the Ocean Club on Paradise Island.

He made five birdies on his way to his only bogey-free round of the tournament, pressing on well from his opening level-par 72 with a 66 in the second round, and then the two-five-under-par rounds to round things off.

At 18-under-par for the tournament, he was none strokes behind the winner, Taylor Dickson of the United States, who rounded out his low-scoring week with a seven-under-par 65. His 27-under-par total was three strokes clear of runner-up Roger Sloane of Canada, whose final round of five-under 67 was not enough to haul in Dickson.

It was Dickson’s third Korn Ferry Tour title in his 100th start on the tour, and it gave him a good base in the season-long quest to finish inside the top 20 on the tour’s Points List to earn a place on the PGA Tour in 2027.

Sloan, a two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner who finished 131st on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, was the 10th alternate after the field entry deadline.
