Solid start for Hollick in KLM Open in Netherlands

Michael Hollick carded a two-under-par 69 on Thursday to be in a share of 11th place after the opening round of the DP World Tour’s KLM Open at The International in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Hollick, who made a double-bogey six on the second hole, recovered with five birdies and just a single bogey after that, and he was four strokes off the first-round lead. Up front, it was Frenchman Julien Guerrier who led the way with seven birdies and a bogey for his six-under 65. He was one clear of Joe Dean of England.

Hollick shared 11th with, amongst others, Dylan Frittelli, who had five birdies and three bogeys on his scorecard of two-under 69, and Richard Sterne, who opened bogey-free with two birdies on his back nine after he started on the 10th.

Jayden Schaper was on one-under after the first round in a share of 26th. Brandon Stone had a level-par 71 to start off, and he was in a share of 39th.
