Dylan Frittelli kept himself just in touch with the top of the leaderboard on Friday with a second successive two-under-par in the KLM Open at The International in Amsterdam, Netherlands putting him in a share of 12th.

Once again, as it was in the first round, his card contained too many bogeys to allow his collection of six birdies to be of any use in seeing him climb towards the lead. At the top of the leaderboard was Sweden’s Sebastian Soderberg, who carded a second round of five-under-par 66 to reach none-under and lead by one from first-round leader Julien Guerrier of France.

Frittelli started his round with bogeys on one and two, and dropped again on eight and 17. He made just one birdie on the front nine, on the third, and then three in a row after the turn from the 10th. His bogey on 17 was bookended by birdies on 16 and 18.

Robin Williams was next-best of the South Africans in the field, with his three-under 68 lifting him to two-under for the tournament and a share of 34th.

Michael Hollick, Jayden Schaper and Richard Sterne were on one-under through 36 holes, in a share of 41st, after rounds of one-over, level-par and one-over respectively.

Brandon Stone and JC Ritchie made the cut at level-par after second rounds of level-par and three-under 68.
