Robin Williams was the only South African still inside the top 20 on Friday after the second round of the DP World Tour’s KLM Open at The International in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Williams overcame a double-bogey seven on the par-five third hole after starting his round on the 10th, and his six birdies and two bogeys saw him sign for a two-under-par 69 as he moved to four-under through 54 holes.

That put him in a share of 19th, six strokes off the lead which was shared by Sebastian Soderberg of Sweden, who led at halfway, and Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra. The Spaniard clicked into top gear with eight birdies in his six-under-par 66, and just two bogeys. The pair were on 10-under, one stroke ahead of Marcus Armitage of England in third place.

Richard Sterne was on three-under in a share of 24th, Michael Hollick in a share of 34th on two-under with, amongst others, Jayden Schaper, and Dylan Frittelli was on one-under in a share of 40th.

JC Ritchie was on level-par and Brandon Stone was on two-over.
