Christo Lamprecht fired an eagle, five birdies and dropped just one shot on Saturday as he carded a six-under-par 64 in the third round of the PGA Tour’s ISCO Championship at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
That followed his opening round of two-under-par 68 and his second round of one-under 69, and moved him to a share of 18th place at nine-under for the tournament ahead of the final round.
His eagle came on the 10th, with a booming 330-yard drove and a 225-yard approach to within five feet. The solitary bogey came when he drove the ball right of the eighth green into the rough, hit his chip out over the green, and then was unable to get up and down from there for par.
He was six shots behind the leader, Lucas Glover, who had a third round of two-under 68 to move one stroke clear of American compatriot Aaron Wise.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout had a third round of four-under 66 to move to seven-under for the tournament and a share of 34th.
Daniel van Tonder and Brandon Stone both misse the cut.
