Paula Reto finished 70th in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship on the Highlands Course of the Atlanta Athletic Club at Johns Creek, Georgia at the weekend, but her Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings position remained unchanged.
Reto carded a final round of seven-over-par 79 to finish the week on 18-over as 22-year-old Nelly Korda of the United States ascended to world number one on the back of her first major championship title as she won by three shots from fellow-American Lizette Salas.
Reto stays at number 435 on the rankings list, making her the third-best South African behind Ashleigh Buhai and South African Women’s Open champion Lee-Anne Pace. Buhai missed the cut in the KPMG Women’s PGA and slips one spot down to 76th. Pace came 11th on the Ladies European Tour, and climbs one place to 207th.
