Dlamini inside top 20 in Aramco Team Series-Jeddah

Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland rounded off a good performance on Friday with a four-under-par 68 in the final round of the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series-Jeddah at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.

That took her to eight-under-par for the tournament and into the top 20 as she finished in a share of 18th behind winner Pia Babnik of Slovenia. Babnik closed with her second successive seven-under 65 to finish on 16-under, one stroke clear of Germany’s Olivia Cowan. Lydia Hall of Wales and Spaniard Carla Ciganda shared third on 13-under, three shots off the lead.

Dlamini made five birdies and a bogey in her round, recovering well from her early bogey on the second hole with birdies on four and five, and then on 10, 13 and 15 on her way in.

Nicole Garcia also had a good week with her closing three-under 69 taking her to a share of 26th on six-under. She made five birdies and two bogeys in her final round.

Lee-Anne Pace also finished with a 69 to be four-under for the tournament in a share of 35th. Stace Lee Bregman was on two-under for the tournament in a share of 44th after she closed with a two-over 74. Lejan Lewthwaite was level-par for the week with her closing 72, and in a share of 57th. Casandra Hall finished with a one-over 73 and was three-over for the tournament in 77th.

Team Pedersen won the team competition. The quartet of Emily Kristine Pedersen, Hannah Burke, Krista Bakker and amateur Ahmed Al Subaey began the day five shots behind the overnight leaders and produced a final round of 18-under to reach a total of 51-under-par.
