Ashleigh Buhai carded a two-under-par 68 on Saturday in the third round of the LPGA Tour’s Pelican Women’s Championship in Belleair, Florida to take up a share of 33rd ahead of the final round.
Buhai started her round at three-under for the tournament, and she slipped to one-under with bogeys on the third and the sixth. But she pulled a shot back with a birdie on the seventh to turn in one-over 36, and she picked up another on the 12th to pull herself back to three-under. A pair of birdies on 17 and 18 added some sheen to her performance in the third round.
The tournament was led by world number one Nelly Korda and her fellow-American Lexi Thompson. Korda carded a seven-under 63, while Thompson signed for a 65. They led by one from Jennifer Kupcho, with Christina Kim and Sei Young Kin in a share of fourth on 14-under.
Paula Reto battled her way to a two-over 72 after making the cut on the number at level-par. She was two-over for the tournament in a share of 72nd.
