Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland started the Ladies European Tour’s season opening Magical Kenya Ladies Open on Thursday with a one-over-par 73, putting her in a share of 10th after 18 holes.
She made three birdies and four bogeys to join four other players on one-over, five behind the leader Linnea Strom of Sweden, who had eight birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey to lead by two from Emma Grechi of France. Amy Boulden of Wales and Sweden’s Julia Engstrom shared third on one-under-par.
South Africa’s Casandra Hall (now Alexander after her marriage) and current South African Women’s Open champion Lee-Anne Pace were on two over in a share of 15th. Stacy Lee Bregman was on four-over, and Lejan Lewthwaite carded a six-over-par 78 in the first round.
