Lee-Anne Pace got herself inside the top 10 on Friday after the second round of the Ladies European Tour’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open with her one-over-par 73 taking her to a share of 10th.
It was a triple-bogey eight on the 504-metre par-five that cost Pace, the reigning South African Women’s Open champion, as she made four birdies and three-bogeys during the rest of her round.
The tournament is being led through 36 holes by Sweden’s Linnea Strom, who added a one-over 73 to her opening 68 as she moved to three-under and a three-stroke lead over Nuria Iturrioz of Spain. There are four players in a share of third on one-over-par: Sophie Hausmann of Germany, Becky Morgan of Wales, Scotland’s Michelle Thomson and Smilla Tarning Soenderby of Denmark.
Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland was in a share of 15th on four-over, Casandra Alexander was on five-over, Stacy Lee Bregman on nine-over, and Lejan Lewthwaite missed the cut on 12-over.
