Herman Loubser pulled himself into a share of the lead on Tuesday with a five-under-par 66 in the second round of the Big Easy IGT Challenge Tour’s Race to Q-School #4 at Wanderers Golf Club.
Loubser started his round with an eagle on the first, and he made five birdies and two bogeys as he moved to 11-under-par through 36 holes ahead of the final round tomorrow. He joined first-round leader Kyle McClatchie at the top of the leaderboard, five strokes clear of Gregory Mckay and Harry Konig of England.
McClatchie was able to put the soft bogeys he made in the first round behind him, and he had a bogey-free round for his four-under-par 67. Mckay carded a two-under 69 and Konig signed for a one-under 70.
In a share of fifth were England’s James Mack and the South African duo of Ricky Hendler and Keaton Slatter on five-under.
