Christiaan Bezuidenhout rounded out a good week on the PGA Tour on Sunday with a final round of two-over-par 72 to finish in a share of 15th place in the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.

After going through the front nine in level-par without dropping any shots, he had to battle through a tough patch on the homeward nine during which he made three consecutive bogeys from the 12th to the 14th. But he made a birdie on the 17th to stay inside the top 20.

The tournament was won in a play-off by Sam Burns over world number one Scottie Scheffler, when Burns birdied the first extra hole for his third title of the season. He closed with a 65 to haul in Scheffler, who, like Bezuidenhout, carded a two-over 72.

Dylan Frittelli had a four-over 74 in the final round to finish in a share of 35th on one-over, 10 shots behind the winner.

Erik van Rooyen and Garrick Higgo missed the cut.
