Keenan Davidse moved himself into the frame on Friday in the second round of the Challenge Tour’s D+D REAL Czech Challenge in the Czech Republic with a four-under-par 66 moving him into the top 10 ahead of the weekend.

Davidse made six birdies and two bogeys to move to three-under-par for the tournament. That put him three shots off the lead, which was shared by Ugo Coussaud of France, David Boote of Wales and Lorenzo Scalise of Italy at six-under-par. That trio had a one-shot lead over the English pair of Ben Stowe and Mitch Waite, and there were four players on four-under.

Davidse started his round on the 10th and he just about kept things together with three birdies and two bogeys to turn in one-under 34. But he made three birdies without dropping a shot on his homeward nine, the front nine, on the third, fifth and sixth.

Tristen Strydom signed for his second successive one-under-par 69 to be two-under for the tournament in a share of 21st. Deon Germishuys also had a 69 in the second round to move to one-under after 36 holes in a share of 32nd.

Ruan Conradie, Jacques Blauw, Luke Jerling and Jayde Schaper missed the cut.
