With play suspended for darkness on Friday, Justin Walters held on in the second round of the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship with a one-under-par 71 putting him in a share of 35th.
With nearly half the field still to finish their rounds, Walters may still slip further down the field that the 23 spots he has dropped after his opening round of six-under 66. For now, he’s at seven-under, eight strokes behind the leader Adam Svensson of Canada.
He made three birdies and two bogeys, and was in a 13-way share of 35th. Also there was fellow-South African Dawie van der Walt, who had a four-under 68.
Haydn Porteous and George Coetzee missed the cut.
