MJ Daffue carded a three-under-par 68 on Friday to move within one of the halfway lead of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship in Omaha, Nebraska.
Daffue, who is already assured of his PGA Tour card for next season after a stellar year on the Korn Ferry Tour, is pushing for his first victory on the circuit. He reached seven-under for the tournament, one stroke behind the lead which was shared by Argentinian Nelson Ledesma and Americans Taylor Montgomery and Andrew Yun. Daffue shared fourth with three other players.
He made four birdies and just a single bogey in his round, with a display off the tee that was not as assured as it was in his first round. He was finding plenty of greens in regulation, however, and, with a bit more luck in the putting department, he is quite capable of going low to pull off that elusive win.
