Jbe’ Kruger finished in a share of 20th on Sunday with a closing two-under-par 69 in the Japan Golf Tour’s Fujisankei Classic taking him to two-under-par for the tournament.
Kruger opened with a two-under in the first round, and followed it up with successive one-over-par 72s. He started the final round with two birdies on the front nine, and then made two more on the homeward nine. He dropped two shots with bogeys on the 13th and 18th.
The tournament was won on the first hole of a sudden-death play-off by Japan’s Kaito Onishi, who birdied the first hole to defeat South Korea’s Sang-Hyun Park. In regulation play, that pair was one clear of Hiroshi Iwata on 10-under.
Kruger moved to 48th on the Japan Golf Tour Order of Merit.
