Ernie Els closed out his week with a five-under-par 67 on Sunday to finish the PGA Tour Champions Dominion Energy Classic on 11-under-par in a share of sixth.

It was a bogey-free closer for Els, with four birdies on the front nine. But he was able to make only one on the homeward nine as he finished three shots behind the winner, Steven Alker of New Zealand. Alker added a fourth title to his dominating year on the tour, as he won by one from Korea’s KJ Choi. Americans Doug Barron and Jerry Kelly shared third with Padraig Harrington on 12-under. Els shared sixth with Brian Gay.

Retief Goosen carded a two-over 74 in the final round to slip to a share of 53rd on level-par for the week.
