Ryan Tipping missed qualifying for the Asian Tour’s Qualifying School Final Stage by a single stroke on Saturday, with his final round of one-under-par 71 leaving him agonisingly short of progressing to the January 28 five-rounder.

In the end, he will look back on his third round of two-over-par 74 as the one leaving him short of making his ground. He opened with a one-under 71 and followed that with a 70 before slipping up in that third round.

Also missing out on progressing after making the 54-hole cut of the Asian Tour Qualifying School (Section B) event at Blue Canyon Country Club’s Canyon Course was Matthew Rushton. Jordan Duminy, Jean-Pierre Du Rand and Duan Nagel all missed the cut.
