Erik van Rooyen closed with a three-under-par 69 on Sunday in the PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande to finish in 32nd place.
Van Rooyen made five birdies and two bogeys to climb seven places on the leaderboard at eight-under-par for the tournament. The tournament was won by Colombia’s Nico Evaracchia on 21-under-par. He won by two from America’s Akshay Bhatia, with Nate Lashley and Carson Young in a share of third on 16-under.
MJ Daffue signed off with a one-over 73 to finish the tournament on one-over in a share of 64th.
