Although he was inactive last week, and will be again this week, Ockie Strydom climbed one place to 145th on the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
The two-time DP World Tour winner – and both coming this season – will next be in action back on home soil in the SDC Championship at St Francis Links on March 16 next week. That will come after a four-week break after his most recent triumph at the Singapore Classic on February 12.
He was the only South African amongst the top 20 local players on the world list to climb, as only Louis de Jager was unchanged as the 19th-best South African in 258th place.
Dean Burmester remains the top South African player, but his ranking is dropping since his jump to LIV Golf. He was down three spots to 69th, and the other LIV players are dropping too: Louis Oosthuizen is down to 90th, Charl Schwartzel to 191st and Branden Grace was in 219th.
