Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Adam Svensson will both sleep on the lead at The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, even though they have plenty of golf remaining in their second rounds.

The two players are tied for the lead at eight-under-par, two strokes ahead of three players. Bezuidenhout needs to complete four holes on Saturday morning, while Svensson had seven remaining when the horn blew on Friday afternoon to suspend play because of inclement weather.

Ben Griffin (67-71) was the clubhouse leader, while Min Woo Lee and Collin Morikawa were at six-under with three and seven holes remaining, respectively.

The similarities between Bezuidenhout and Svensson on the scorecards are many. Both shot four-under 68 in the first round, both are four-under for their second rounds and both men made four birdies and no bogeys on Friday.

“I’ve only got four holes left, so that’s fine for us, but yeah, I’m lucky that I can go home and get ready for tomorrow,” Bezuidenhout said.

Garrick Higgo had a one-over 73 in the second round for a share of 33rd on one-under. Dylan Frittelli slumped to a seven-over 79, and will miss the cut.
