Louis Oosthuizen added a three-under-par 68 on Saturday to his opening five-under 66 to move to eight-under through 36 holes in the LIV Golf event in Tucson, Arizona.

The leader ahead of the final round was still Australia’s Marc Leishman, who had an eagle, four birdies and a bogey in his second-round 66 to move to 11-under and a two-stroke edge over Sergio Garcia. Garcia made seven birdies and two bogeys in his 66.

Oosthuizen started his round in the shotgun start on the first hole, and birdied that before dropping his first shot of the day on the second. He struck back with three birdies in a row from the third, and made another on the 11th. However, he gave up a second shot to par with a bogey on the 14th before parring his way home.

He shared third with Charles Howell III, Cameron Tringale and Brendon Steele of the United States.

Branden Grace made a four-under-par 67 in the second round, moving to five-under through 36 holes and a share of 10th. Dean Burmester improved to a three-under 68 in the second round, and, at two-under, was in a share of 27th. Charl Schwartzel battled to a five-over 76 with two doubles on his card, and was in 47th in the 48-man field.

In the team contest, the South African team, Stinger GC, moved to 15-under, with the scores of Grace, Oosthuizen and Burmester counting. That put them in a share of fourth place, seven strokes behind Fireballs GC with Garcia at the helm of the leaders.
