Louis Oosthuizen raced into a share of fifth on Saturday with a five-under-par 67 in the second round of LIV Golf Invitational-DC at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.
Oosthuizen was just three shots off the lead at six-under through 36 holes in the 54-hole event. In front was Mito Pereira, who carded a five-under-par 67 to move to nine-under and a one-stroke lead over first-round leader Harold Varner III. Henrik Stenson was in a share of third on seven-under with Kevin Na. Oosthuizen shared fifth with Andy Ogletree, Cameron Smith and Sebastian Munoz.
One shot further back was Branden Grace, who had a three-under 69 and, at five-under, was in a share of ninth. Dean Burmester had a one-under 71 to move to four-under and a share of 11th, while Charl Schwartzel had a one-over 73 to move to one-over for the event and a share of 33rd in the 48-man field.
The South African team, Stinger GC, was in a share of second on 15-under, three shots behind the leaders Torque GC, consisting of Pereira, Munoz, Joaquim Niemann and David Puig.
