Garrick Higgo closed with a three-over-par 75 on Sunday in the final round of the PGA Tour’s Memorial Tournament presented by Workday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio to finish in a share of 30th.

Higgo made three birdies and six bogeys to finish the tournament at two-over. That was nine shots behind the winner, Viktor Hovland of Norway, who edged out Denny McCarthy of the United States on the first extra hole of a sudden-death play-off. World number one Scottie Scheffler finished one shot out of the play-off.

Higgo battled coming home, making three birdies in a row on the final three holes. Pars on those would have seen him finish up to 18 places higher. However, he still was projected to climb two places to 83rd on the FedEx Cup rankings.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout closed with a five-over 77 to share 38th on three-over, and he too climbs on the FedEx Cup list – one spot – to 89th.

Amateur Aldrich Potgieter missed the cut, as did MJ Daffue, while Dylan Frittelli withdrew.
