A second-successive five-under-par 67 on Saturday for Ian Snyman took him up to a share of 15th after the third round of the Asian Tour’s Mandiri Indonesia Open at the Pondok Indah Golf Course.
After he had opened with a 73 on Thursday, Snyman got down to business with a 67 on Friday, and he rounded out his work in the third round with an eagle on the 18th. He had made five birdies and two bogeys up to that point, and, at nine-under for the 54 holes, he was nine strokes behind the leader.
Thailand’s Nitithorn Thippong also carded a 67 in the third round to open a five-stroke lead over Chang Wei-lun of Chinese Taipei who had a 69. There were five players on 12-under-par in a share of third, six shots off the lead.
Included in that group in third was halfway leader MJ Viljoen, who, inevitably after his second round of 10-under 62, slipped to a two-over 74 in the third round. Viljoen made two birdies and four bogeys in his third round.
Jaco Ahlers had a one-under 71 in his third round to be in a share of 46th on four-under.
