Branden Grace climbed into a share of sixth on Saturday with a six-under-par 64 in the second round of the LIV Golf-Greenbrier at The Old White Course at White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
Grace made seven birdies and a bogey after starting his round on the 14th hole in the shotgun start of the 54-hole no-cut event. That took him to 10-under-par for the 36 holes, two strokes off the lead which was shared by first-round leader Matthew Wolff of the United States and David Puig of Spain. Wolff had a three-under 67 in the second round and Puig carded a 65. They led by one from Richrd Bland of England and Americans Talor Gooch and Bryson DeChambeau. Grace shared sixth with Brendon Steele, Harold Varner II and Mito Pereira.
Dean Burmester was a shot further back in a share of 10th after a three-under 67, and Charl Schwartzel was on eight-under through 36 holes in a share of 13th after he had a six-under 64. Louis Oosthuizen carded a level-par 70 to be in a share of 24th on five-under.
In the team competition, the South African Stinger GC was in second on 30-under, four shots behind Torque GC with Puig, Pereira, Sebastian Munoz and Joaquin Niemann.
