Two eagles in her second round saw Casandra Alexander climb right into contention on Saturday as her second successive three-under-par 70 in the Ladies European Tour’s PIF London Championship, Centurion Club took her into a share of second.

Alexander, who is looking for her second win of the season on the LET, shared second, three strokes off the lead, with Spain’s Carlota Ciganda, Manon De Roey of Belgium, and Perrine Delacour of France.

Up front, Germany’s Laura Fuefenstueck maintained her grip on the top of the leaderboard with her three-under 70 lifting her to nine-under-par.

Alexander eagled the very first hole, a par-five, but bogeys on three and eight saw her turn in level-par 37. She birdied the 10th, before she picked up her second eagle on another par-five, the 13th. She bogeyed the 14th and birdied the 17th.

Behind her, Lee-Anne Pace carded her second one-under 71 in a row, and, at two-under for the tournament, she was in a share of 18th ahead of the final round. Danielle du Tour, who led her team to the team title, made the cut on the number as she pulled a two-under 71 out the bag. At three-over for the tournament, she was in a share of 56th.
