Casandra Alexander signed for a two-under-par 70 on Saturday in the second round of the Ladies European Tour’s Tipsport Ladies Czech Open at Royal Beroun Golf Club to move into a share of 33rd ahead of the final round.
Alexander made five birdies and three bogeys to move to two-under for the tournament, 10 strokes off the lead which was shared by first-round leader Nicole Broch Estrup of Denmark and amateur Emma Spitz of Austria. That pair led by five strokes from the Spanish duo of Luna Sobron Galmes and Paz Marfa Sans on seven-under.
Alexander added to her opening round of level-par with two birdies and a bogey on the front nine, and three birdies and two bogeys on her homeward loop.
It was a delayed start to the proceedings on Saturday after heavy rainfall overnight and persistent rain in the morning led to a delay of nearly three hours. But once action got underway, the Danish overnight leader continued her impressive form this week carding a bogey-free five-under 67 to remain at the top of the leaderboard.
“I feel like I played a bit more solid yesterday, but I feel things have gone my way on both days,” said Broch Estrup.
