Casandra Alexander stayed in the hunt on Saturday as she carded a bogey-free three-under-par 69 in the third round of the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Korea Championship at New Korea Country Club, in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
She moved to seven-under-par for the tournament with birdies on five, 12 and 16, but she was six strokes off the lead which was held by Japan’s Miyu Yamashita, who continued her consistent form with another round of four-under-par 68.
The major champion led by two shots overnight and began her day with a birdie at the first before a dropped shot on the second. Yamashita added further birdies on the eighth and 11th holes before finishing in style with back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17 to sit at the top of the leaderboard on 13-under-par.
Five-time major champion Yani Tseng was in solo second place after firing a six-under 66. Tseng was bogey-free on moving day rolling in birdies on her third, eighth, 11th, 13th, 14th and 18th holes.
France’s Celine Herbin-Marshall was in outright third place after she fired the low round of the day with a seven-under-par 65, equalling the course record set by Seojin Park in 2025 and Patricie Mackova in round one.
For Alexander, it was the first round of the week that was bogey-free as she chases down the Order of Merit title and gets ready for the LPGA Tour School in November.
